Ever since Natalya Netselya’s performance on the popular RTL show “Das Supertalent”, sand painting – also called sand animation or sand art – has enjoyed a massive growth in popularity in this part of the world.  Under Natalya’s artistic direction the Sand Theater Dresden is premiering on the 23rd of July “Elbsand – the Summer Show”, a journey in sand that takes you from Saxon Switzerland to Old Dresden – a profession of love for the city and its Elbe Valley.

Families with children can also enjoy the fascination of popular fairytales like “Cinderella”, as well as Wilhelm Busch’s children’s-book classic “Max and Moritz” being told in sand.
